Today we made sock snowmen with our kindergarten buddies. They are made out of a sock, a roll of toilet paper, a styrofoam ball, ribbon and felt! It is such a joy to see how third graders turn into such responsible leaders to help the little ones!
Have a wonderful break with friends and family! Play outside, sleep in, relax, play games together and enjoy whatever you do. Thank you for a great start to our third grade year! Today we read with Mrs. Schlagel's kindergarten class. We brought picture books to read to them. We practiced good reading with expression and fluency. we were great role models. The kindergartners were very sweet. We will see them again in January to help them make sock snowmen!

We had our first annual All-School Turkey Bingo this afternoon! When we got a bingo we had to "Gobble, Gobble" down to get our prize!

"I am thankful for clothes on my back and a roof on my head."-Mina "I am thankful for technology, because you can do a lot of things on it to help you learn."-Trent "I am thankful for book "I am thankful for my health, my family and my awesome 3rd graders!"-Mrs. Dahl We had a great time on our fieldtrip to the Children's Theater and Minneapolis Institute of Art, on Wednesday! Our fieldtrip adventure started last week when we started talking about Cinderella and reading different books about her. One of the books was called The Egyptian Cinderella. Then we had a visit from Ms. Elsen's sister and brother-in-law. Her brother-in-law grew up in Egypt and came to teach us about the country. It was very interesting. He is making a bookmark for each of us out of Papyrus! The play at the Children's Theater was so entertaining! We laughed, we danced, we screamed and shouted too! We even cried a bit (well..Mrs. Dahl did). Then we visited the Minneapolis Institute of Art. It was amazing to see different art from around the world; that was from thousands of years ago and worth millions of dollars! It was a wonderful experience for all!
